GALGO combines OMMS, GAMS, GIS, and CMMS capabilities as an integrated maintenance and transport infrastructure operations management system.
Extended FAQ
Everything you need to know before deciding.
Regulatory, technical, and operational focus with evidence and traceability.
Is GALGO an OMMS, a GAMS, a GIS, or a computerized maintenance management system?
GALGO combines all these approaches in one platform. It works as an OMMS for 24/7 operations, as a GAMS for asset and maintenance management, as a GIS for geospatial context, and as a CMMS for maintenance planning and execution. It also operates as a transport infrastructure operations management system.
How does GALGO incorporate Aerocivil's RAC 14 and ICAO Annex 14?
Airport compliance should not have to be reconstructed before every audit. GALGO turns the applicable requirements of Aerocivil's RAC 14, ICAO Annex 14, the contract, and airport manuals into inspections, maintenance plans, accountable owners, thresholds, alerts, and evidence histories. Our SICC experience at Rafael Núñez Airport in Cartagena de Indias and Tocumen demonstrates this approach under different authorities and contracts.
How does GALGO incorporate ANI Technical Appendix 4 in 4G and 5G concessions?
For 4G and 5G road concessions, GALGO configures the current contractual version of Technical Appendix 4: availability, safety, quality, and service-level indicators; formulas, measurement frequencies, correction periods, accountable owners, and evidence for contract supervision and ANI. For airport concessions, we apply the appendices and indicators specific to each ANI contract rather than forcing a generic template.
Can GALGO adapt to contracts and regulatory frameworks across different countries?
Yes. GALGO does not impose a single regulatory template: it configures obligations, deadlines, SLAs, indicators, evidence, and reports by country and contract. It currently operates in nine countries, with deployments in Colombia, Panama, Peru, Mexico, and the United States, among others. The same corporate core adapts to the local authority, concession model, and supervision framework without losing traceability across operations.
What evidence does it produce for supervision and regulators?
Complete evidence of who, when, what, and where: event log, work orders with GPS/photos, response times, KPIs calculated in real time, and automatic reports.
What standards does it support for asset management?
GIS inventory and maintenance plans aligned to ISO 55001, with technical hierarchies, criticality, and life cycle per asset.
How do you handle cybersecurity?
Defense in depth: identity controls, WAF, encryption in transit and at rest, monitoring, session management, roles/permissions, and action audits.
Do you have operational continuity and DR?
Yes. Automatic backups, redundancy, and recovery plans. RTO/RPO defined by contract based on operational criticality.
What integrations are available?
SCADA/ITS, tolling, weigh stations, meteorology, CCTV, radios/PBX, GPS, ERPs (SAP/SINCO/Oracle/Dynamics), and BI (Power BI/Metabase) via API, web services, or database connectors.
Does GALGO have an API?
Yes. We prioritize API integration to orchestrate events, maintenance, KPIs, and reporting without duplicating work.
How does the mobile app work?
Field capture with GPS/chainage, photos, resources, time, and validations. Everything is traced and feeds KPIs automatically.
Is WhatsApp the system?
No. WhatsApp is the interface to reduce friction; evidence and control remain in GALGO with permissions, audit, and traceability.
How does GALGO AI work?
A conversational agent with operational memory that queries KPIs, generates reports, and triggers workflows. The AI inherits permissions and does not execute critical actions without human confirmation.
Do you train public models with my data?
No. Operational data remains private and is used only for your operations and reporting.
How long does implementation take?
With an industrialized methodology, in ~3 months you can be generating operational data with clear phases of setup, configuration, go-live, and stabilization.
What do we need to start?
Road alignment in KMZ, current inventories, list of roles/users, workflows, reference points, and mobile units with GPS.
How are SLAs calculated?
Each event and work order feeds indicators automatically. Actual response is compared against the contractual standard and auditable reports are generated.
User-based licensing?
Licensing without limits on users or locations to foster adoption and data capture across the organization.
How do you manage roles and permissions?
Granular RBAC by roles, segregation of duties, and immutable logs for forensic audit.
Can I migrate my current inventories?
Yes. We import inventories from Excel or existing databases and can integrate or connect Esri ArcGIS, Oracle, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, and geospatial services compatible with Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) standards. This allows us to build the GALGO GIS without losing each asset's technical history.
What types of infrastructure do you support?
Road concessions, tunnels and ITS, airports (SICC), railways, water treatment plants, energy and pipelines, smart cities, and industrial infrastructure.
Is there regional support?
Regional support teams in LATAM and Spain with defined SLAs and 24/7 coverage for critical issues.
